On Wednesday, July 24th, 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM the Palmetto Historical Park & Agricultural Museum hosts the Manatee County Natural Resources Department for SUMMER LEARNING: LIFE ON THE RIVER. Take a “dive” into a world of fish, alligators, turtles, and herons with songs, games, stories and exciting hands-on exhibits. Peek inside a turtle shell to learn the secrets of a turtle’s home, learn how to “talk” to alligators, hunt like a heron, and more! Event is suitable for all ages. Also enjoy the Park and Museum’s special exhibit of antique tackle. The presentation will take place in the basement of the Carnegie Library in Palmetto Historical Park, 515 10th Ave. West, Palmetto. This event is FREE BUT RESERVATIONS are required. Call 721-2034 to register.
