CALL TO ARTISTS – HARLLEE BARN ARTWORK

Oct 01, 15 CALL TO ARTISTS – HARLLEE BARN ARTWORK

The Manatee County Agricultural Museum, 1015 6th St. West, Palmetto invites artists who have pieces themed around the “Harllee Barn” to apply to submit their works for inclusion in a Fall 2015/Winter 2016  exhibit at the Museum. The original Harllee Barn was built circa 1885 and was located on what was known as the “Harllee Hundred” located approximately five miles north of Palmetto on McMullen Creek. Over the years it became an icon of early days of Manatee County and it was removed and rebuilt on the Manatee County Fairgrounds several years ago. Pieces can showcase a diversity of mediums but all must be exhibit-ready. Please contact the Museum at agriculturalmuseum@manateeclerk.com or call 721-2034to obtain paperwork needed for works to be considered for submission. No registration fee is required.
