Hello Anglers; First of all I want to thank everyone that fished with me in March and April. I’m sorry for not getting a report out last month but things were very busy around the dock. March and April were fantastic for fishing and a big majority of my trips the weather cooperated and made for desired results. I met some new folks that I truly am delighted to have had the opportunity to have taken out and I also reunited with some friends that have fished with me for years. THANK YOU!!!!! Now let’s talk about fishing.IMG_2955

IMG_3016Well, it’s here. The spring bite has started and it is at full tilt. The bite has been fantastic for the past month or so and the next month should be lights out. Everything seems to be chewing right now. The snook have been center stage but redfish, trout, and mackerel have all been on the radar. If you want sport or you want to have that fish fry, May should give you all options. The thing that is exciting about May for me is the tarpon are right around the corner. Everybody should catch one in their life. They have already showed up but I personally do not fish them until the crabs start flushing. If you are interested in tarpon fishing we can get you in the book for the best afternoon hill tide available. Note that tarpon trips are 6 hours only, no more than 3 anglers and $100 more than a regular trip.  This is the time of the year that we as charter captains love the most. Until next time, good luck and be safe on the water. REMEMBER: don’t let your kid be the one that got away, take them fishing!!!

Thanks again,

Ric
