Hello Friends, I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and making lots of memories. June was good for that on the “Screamin’ Sea Weasel” as we made our transition to fishing some deeper water. Also my team that fishes the HCSO tournament every year placed again for the 3rd or 4th straight year(Nancy rocks!). All of you that fished with me in June, I say Thanks. I can’t do it without you. IMG_3127

IMG_3134What about July? Well, it should certainly be warm and saying that I try to discourage any thoughts of full day trips. The bite should be the same as June with the exception that the mangrove snapper will be more active. I usually do a lot of snapper and spanish mackerel fishing this time of year and that usually works out well for those wanting a fish fry. If the macs are cleaned right they are fantastic. I have changed many minds on eating macs after they were cleaned by me. They are one of the most underrated fish we have in our area. Sharks get a lot of attention this time of year as well. If you want that big fish experience – come on out and getcha some! Snook, redfish and trout will be on the list as well but usually a little more difficult with water temps as high as they get in the summer. Anyway, would love to see you in July. Until next time, good luck and be safe on the water. REMEMBER: don’t let your kid be the one that got away, take them fishing!IMG_3157

I attached a pic of my new boat buddy “Parker”.

Take care and tightlines,
