Hello Friends, I sure hope everyone is having a fantastic Summer and getting that coppertone tan. Fishing in July was pretty good for the most part and seemed to be better when I had a boat with kids on it. There seemed to be more junior anglers with me this past month and that’s just how I like it. Getting the next wave of fishermen ready is a task that I accept and welcome the challenge. I appreciate everyone that fished with me in July. IMG_3177

Thank you for your business. We had a month full of mackerel, trout, sharks, snapper, and a few snook when we put them on the hit list. I was reminded the other day on the boat about something I said years ago in humor. “Always identify your target after you have caught the fish.” That way you get what you want. I expect August to be just as good if not better than July as long as our weather stays on a consistent pattern. That is important for fishing any time of year. The one thing that may differ in August is we should start to see our schools of big redfish invade us as they do every year at this time. Until next time, good luck and be safe on the water. Remember: don’t let your kid be the one that got away, take them fishing.

Thank you,

Capt. Ric Liles
